In addition to his academic contributions, he has significant industry experience in software development, enterprise systems, and optimization-based decision support systems.

Prof. Dhouib earned his PhD in Quantitative Methods from the Faculty of Management and Economics Sciences at the University of Sfax, Tunisia (2004–2009), where his research focused on Artificial Intelligence, operations research, optimization, data analytics, and decision science. He previously completed a Master’s degree in Operations Research and Production Management (2001–2003) at the same institution. His academic training began with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (1992–1996), also from the Faculty of Management and Economics Sciences at the University of Sfax.
Experience 👨‍🏫
Since 2017, Prof. Dhouib has served as a Full Professor at the Higher Institute of Industrial Management at the University of Sfax. Throughout his academic career, he has contributed extensively to teaching, mentoring, and research in artificial intelligence, optimization algorithms, logistics, and decision support systems. He has also taught or collaborated with universities in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, including institutions in Sfax, Gafsa, Al Faisal, and Al Baha.
Beyond academia, Prof. Dhouib has substantial industry experience. He served as General Manager of a business software development company between 2001 and 2006 and worked for many years as an analyst programmer designing enterprise management software systems across multiple sectors such as manufacturing, finance, and human resources. He is also the founder of two companies specializing in business software development and has participated in international technology exhibitions and consulting projects.
In addition, he regularly contributes to the global research community as a keynote speaker and workshop organizer at international conferences focusing on artificial intelligence, robotics, and optimization methods.
